Parent Probs Advice Wanted

My cp is starting out her all star season like everyone else - working out stunt groups. In the lobby parents can yay and watch if they want. Then there is always one parent talking crap about the kids.

I understand that we are all concerned with safety and falling flyers. I dont see how parents have any right to be so excited that my daughter can look at this parent freaking out and feel judged.

Cp tells me at last practice it is distracting seeing this parent being so dramatic. This puts the whole stunt in jeopardy. Btw - its a youth team.

So what do I do? Talk to the parent and tell her to quit or tell the coach?

If the parent is being that dramatic, I suspect the coaches have noticed. I would let it go for now. You don't want to be the one bringing the drama...let her bring it on herself.

I think it's that time of year where every parent is nervous watching their kid's stunt group. I noticed this last night at practice. My cp is a back spot so I don't worry too much but if she was a flyer, I'd be nervous. We had two teams working on stunting and flyers were, well, flying all over the place. I would ignore this mom as best you can. The teams will get better as time goes by and she'll shut up (hopefully)!
But if you do speak up, I would speak to the coach and let him/her deal with the parent.

Ah, Susie's mom. She is at every gym. Sadly, there's little that can be done. If it gets out of control, I'd talk to the coach/owner. Otherwise, I personally like to turn each negative around into a positive. Eventually most catch on. Good luck!

Oh my, bless you all from the wrath of Susie's Mom should the curtain be pulled. Probably will not stop but rather give her the opportunity to rant to other parents more.
