According to the rules laid out by Epic, your program has to declare performance or traditional. So if you have 5 teams, they all need to be under 1 umbrella. For Epic, that was a new division split this year.

This will depend on the event producer. In @SparkleSpankies example The Epic Brands requires that you choose. However smaller event producers, IEPs, may not have as strict a requirement.
