Hi everyone! Newbie here, and this is my first post :)
I'm going to be a second year head-coach starting this summer, but 5th year with the program overall and wanting to make some changes.
The new assistant and myself have developed a PR system for our squad next year as we've had some trouble getting girls to volunteer for outreach events in the community or feeder schools. Next year, girls will be given points for volunteering at outreach events, fundraisers or events at feeder schools. What we're trying to develop now....is what girls can do with their points. So far we have these ideas:
1. Top 8 points for football season will go to playoff games
2. Top 3 points for basketball season will get a front row spot when cheering
3. Top 4 points for wrestling season will travel to away meets
We'd like to have other ideas too. We thought about giving out gift cards at the end, but our district won't reimburse us for buying gift cards, so that's out.
Please help! Does anyone have a similar system and can share how thy run it? Does anyone have any ideas on what we can do for girls with the most points?
