Qualified Coaches In Schools

I am concerned with the cheerleading coaches at some middle and high school teams in SC. There needs to be more requirements before just anyone is allowed to do it. I think if we start there it would prevent some of the injuries.

I think you are absolutely correct, but I think its' very hard to find dedicated coaches for middle school/high school cheer teams. I've coached both all-star and high school. Coaching high school is hard because of the early time commitment. Unless you work at a school or work from home, it's very hard to work that schedule. And the pay isn't very well either, so you're looking at dedicating a lot of time for almost nothing. Although that's not an excuse, I find it's part of the reason schools can't find qualified coaches.
