All-Star Rivalries?

It's too bad when these rivalries get ugly. I've seen coaches flat out ignore kids they've coached for years just because the kids didn't follow the coach or because they have chosen to go to another gym. It's sad, really. Brandnewstyle-is there a particular rivalry you have in mind?

i wish area gyms could just get along. it would be nice to go to other state competitions (worlds) and have all your gyms from your area actually supporting each other rather than hopeing they fail.

I agree! As it has been mentioned before-teams have to compete against each other-that's part of the sport. But it doesn't need to be ugly and hateful. The impact this ugliness has on the kids is not healthy.

thats what i was gonna say! i dont think any of their teams compete against each other... ga is mostly coed and rays are mostly all girl.

ps i LOVE your bring back the girls thingy... cant remember the official fierceboard name for it haha

ok so i know this isnt a rivalry in a state... but i have a question and i didnt think i needed to start a whole new thread! ok so here it is:

cali and top gun are/used to be huge rivals. but now top gun is in semi so not so much. but i noticed that both teams do the gun motions at the end of their routines (cali bullets, top gun... seems logical). but WHO DID IT FIRST?!

both teams do the gun next to the eye thing (i hope you know what im talking about, if not i can post a picture) & i think its totes adorable! its really bothering me because i cant figure out who was first! haha seems a little silly and menial, but things like this are important to me...
