If you want to watch a youth 2 routine I can post my cp's. It will probably give you a lot to look at because it was their 1st competition a few months ago and there was a lot of room for improvement. They have been working hard since then and don't compete again till next month and they have made a lot of changes so what happened that day doesn't happen again. I'm not a coach but I know none of us would get offended because we know what needed improvement and I think we made the improvements for our next competition. Haha but if it will help you get practice I will post it!!

I agree with Rich and XtremeWpg

The lower levels are perfect for getting your feet wet. Start with breaking down routines by section. Get yourself comfortable with each section and then add to it. Maybe critique just the stunting sections, then just the tumbling sections, then just motions/dance before you do it all together. Transitions should be seamless, and there shouldn't be people running like chicken with their heads cut off to get to the next formation. I personally don't like to see people cross the middle (unless it's in tumbling or something along those lines). Also, try not to focus on any one individual or stunt. Look at the whole picture. Things will start to pop out at you :) If you would like to critique any of my teams, send me a pm and I'll send you vids :)

It will help alot!

here's my junior 2 from jamfest europe if that helps

any comments would be appreciated although they are now level 3 and wont compete for another 2 months

Just some nit picky stuff for Rockstar:
-Point toes in jumps, especially center jumper
-Make sure legs are straightened in front walkovers to make the skill look easy and graceful ( focus on really stretching that front leg over in the flip)
-On transitions such as at 1:51, chins up and faces towards the crowd to really sell it to the judges. Additionally it can be the same thing when the girls clap before their stunt for backspots (clap with face toward judges and big smile) rather than them just doing a "omg we're about to stunt! Ahhhh! " quick clap. It's easy for girls to get a tad sloppy on claps but its those little things that really make the difference between great squads and mind blowing squads.
- Flyers hit each position sharp on the count! They are by no means bad or anything, but to kick it up to the next level practice with them hitting exactly on the count in unison or having to re-do the sequence. The scale to lib sequence should be "HIT! clean HIT! clean" rather than gliding from position to position.

Overall, the team looked great through!

It will help alot!

Just to clarify no that is not our complete uniform. They didn't come in till 2 days after this lol

Also I took the video so you will notice I followed my cp in the stunt and tumbling. Yes there is a 3rd stunt group that went up that is not in picture. Also during the dance I was kind of mad about our pyramids & basket that I did not realize I had turned the camera up! Haha but it's just a start and it's a small youth team of like 14 or 15 so our errors really stand out!
