I live in San Diego, 92127. Looking for a gym nearby for my 13 year old daughter. It can be small and not as competitive/large time commitment as Cali All Stars. She has been doing Pop Warner and wants to try competitive for a year. Any advice greatly appreciated

Hey! That’s amazing your daughter wants to try competitive cheer — and totally get wanting something more low-key than Cali All Stars 💙

Here are a few ways to find great local options in the 92127 area:

  • Google “rec cheer programs near me” or look into smaller gyms like Victory Athletics, CheerForce San Diego, or Champion Outlaws — they may have teams with less commitment or prep teams.
  • Check out Facebook groups like San Diego Cheer Moms or Youth Sports San Diego — parents often post about gyms, tryouts, and open gyms.
  • Look into local YMCAs, Pop Warner extensions, or school-based teams with spring/summer clinics.
  • Ask gyms about open gyms or tumbling-only memberships — great for trying things out before committing!

And when she’s ready to start learning cheers, chants, or choreography, we’d love to help at ************! It’s a digital platform where she can learn fun, beginner-friendly routines at home and even build her own 1-minute combo using our software.
