Scorp Double

Everytime I do a scorpion double, my coaches tell me to always wait for the pop. But, when I wait for the pop, I do something else wrong. Can anyone give me some tips?

Yes wait for the pop and then make sure you snap your leg down to double as you would for a scale double! What happens when you don't wait on the pop?
