After watching the cheerleaders series it got me thinking, besides cali and trinity (of course) what other programs pull athletes from all over the country?

A lot of the big name gyms have athletes that move there from all over the country/world. Cheer athletics, top gun, cheer extreme to name a few.

I'm pretty sure a certain male athlete travels into Cheer Athletics from another state, and last year CEA has a girl from Norway as well as an athlete from Florida. I suppose a lot of gyms get new athletes when kids move away to college

ACE has had kids from multiple states even before they had gyms in multiple states!

The Fierce Board: if a team cheers and isn't talked about, does it still get a medal?

Oh, i have a question on this:

Is it more common that these gyms are really "scouting" - like posting on facebook or watching individuall athletes in their progression and contact them?

Or do these athletes decide they would love to cheer for Gym A across the country and go to their try-outs?

I guess it´s option 2, but i´m really curious if big gyms have someone like a talent scout?

Total speculation but I would assume option 2 - Worlds medals/appearances do all of the "scouting" for the big name gyms. Plus they don't have to hunt down people because they have so much talent already in the gym and their tryouts are PACKED with people trying to get on a level 5 team.

I can't speak for all big gyms, but we generally don't "scout" individuals as a program.

I thought it was interesting that Cali All Stars post on twitter, Instagram, social media when they are looking for level 5 team members. Also, surprised at how many responses they get. It is an awesome opportunity, but there is no way I could afford to do that for my daughters.

The only two gyms I've seen that "advertise" the opportunities have been Top Gun and Georgia. Others may have as well, but I haven't seen it.

Most of the kids we get from other programs move here for college.....we don't get a lot of high school kids moving to cheer.
