All-Star Sleeping Before Comp

I can never sleep in the hotel before comp, all I do everytime I close my eyes is run through the routine and the competition schedule over and over. Does anyone else do this? And does anyone have any ideas on how to get to sleep? Lol, I'm at a comp now and it's 2am -.-
 
I don't sleep much either!!! I am always afraid I will wake up late and my girls will miss their meet time!!
 
hmm Im competing at King of the South tom. in Tampa Fl. and Im wide awake...I couldn't imagine if I was at NCA right now
 
at cheersport last weekend since my team competed at like 10 both nights, literally my team would stay up till 2 am then sleep till like noon the next day! Im usually too nervous and excited to sleep anyways on national weekends (:

I don't sleep before competitions. I stay up late every night though. I pray for me and my teams a lot. It helps settle me down. Sometimes I give in to the fierce and get on the boards or type up all my ideas for future reference. I'm usually pretty amped up on comp days no matter how much sleep I get!
 
As an athlete I never had a problem, but as a coach I can NEVER sleep! It doesn't matter how tired I am, I just lay there and nothing happens! I think its stress mostly and adrenaline. Praying helps, reading sometimes does, or try watching something really boring on tv! Whatever you do Fierceboard does NOT help!!

I don't eat on comp days either. Because I can't. I'm too busy and too anxious. People always wonder why I lose weight November through April. Ha!

Lol the only time I DON'T get on fb is on comp days.

me too...which is a problem since i love food so much
I can never eat and it shocks my non cheer friends because they can't imagine me at a moment when I'm not eating :L there's always really nice food at hotel breakfast but I can never touch any of it, it's not nerves though I think I just get too pumped and excited :L
