Over stretch EVERYTHING. Stetch well like you normally would, and stack a couple thick books up on the floor to over extend your splits. Getting your splits is pretty much your base for every flexibility skill you do. Over stretching will make your scorpion look more and more like a needle, the more you do it. (obviously you back is a big part of that too) Your heel stretches look a lot neater when you have your splits. It will look straight instead of off to the side. Your bow and arrow is all splits, no doubt. stretch once before you wake up and once after. I know it's a pain but it actually works. You have to put in an effort, don't expect your splits to come to you
