There are currently 34w/c bids listed for small j3 down from a high of 37 posted a week ago on the Summit website. Should make for an interesting one day competition where ONE TEAM advances.

does anybody know how it goes with passing down bids. do they go by next highest scores & how far down will they go?

I still count 36. ;) Maybe you're missing the two on the page before the full page?

But who knows how many of them are actually coming...

WildCards can be passed down during the comp. Because I know a large senior 4 team got a WC bid but then like 20 minutes later our coach was called to the judges table and we were given the WC. I think if that sr4 team would've went home and THEN changed their minds, the bid would've disappeared

Last year small J3 had 38 teams only small Sr4 was larger with 40 teams.
I was referring to the fact that (based on info from this thread) just because a team is on the Summit Bid Winners list, doesn't mean they are going to attend.

I can confirm this happened. No clue if it was a miscommunication or what, but the bid went to a team that wasn't announced initially.

I am speculating that the EP did not cross-check to see who was not accepting Wild Cards before awarding them. I am sure it is a pain to figure out who is not eligible for an AL because they already have a WC and who even wants a WC to begin with. It would be pretty easy to just make a list of everyone who is eligible to receive and willing to take a WC in advance, but I doubt every EP is that organized. I bet they awarded the WC without looking to see if the team would accept it, and then kept "passing it down" until they found someone who would take it. It doesn't sound like it was passed down in the traditional sense that an AL is.

This was not passed down, it was a mistake by the EP. Pink mafia wasn't taking WC bids

It was a miscommunication by the announcer and the registration table I guess. Elite Force told them the morning of they would not be accepting wild cards for any team. I was next to Diaz when they announced and he was not happy.

I just wonder if there is a way that they can control how many bids they give in different divisions. Like there is a ton of small junior 3 teams, then other divisions barely have 10. Not sure how they would do that but just seems so crazy looking at the bid listing right now.
