All-Star Summit Block Schedule

Summit block schedule will be out “by the end of the week” according to Varsity (seen in BAND).

At this point it may be less than two weeks before athletes compete which is ridiculous. There has always been a block schedule by now.

I see the block schedule...but nothing for Sunday? Does anyone know when we will have a block schedule for finals Day? I assume awards will be online like the reveals. Am I missing something here.....?

Planning for an athlete going to Summit and Worlds with having to fly home for worlds practice in between...plus having a full-time job and then dealing with all the restrictions and regulations and booking parks...Lordy, I am heading to a crazy town. LOL. We are 4-year previous Summit veterans but this one is the most stressful.

That makes total sense!!! Thank you so much.

I'm thinking of flying home Sunday night instead of Monday so I can get a full day's work in. The block schedule for Saturday illudes to that scenario being a possibility with a late flight home. With flights constantly going up I do need to book asap but with the schedule being up in the air it's like...do I risk it...do I not.........With my luck, we'll compete early on Saturday and end up in a late finals on Sunday. LOL. Gotta love the cheer life!

Could be. But you could also use that logic to say that they don't know how many teams there will be in each division for Friday and Saturday as well. I would think they should at least have some idea what Sunday will look like at this point.

There is absolutely no way that there are SO many bids left to be awarded that they cannot give you a performance order of some sort at this point.

Even if some of the slots have to be left open or blank.

Not being able to predict who advances hasn't typically stopped them from putting out a PO for Summit.

Unless I am missing something.

Yeah what is UCA giving out, 20 bids? Even if they don't know exactly what time each division will start and end, they could at least post the order of divisions for Sunday. The order seems to be the same for Friday and Saturday, so is it safe to assume the order will be the same for Sunday as well? If your kid is Sm Sr 4, Sm Sr 1, etc, it looks like you'll be done in the morning. What's so difficult about telling parents this though? It seems the priority might be to get you to book Sunday night hotel rooms instead of keeping you informed. I'm curious how many other sports' governing bodies care how many hotel nights you book.
