what are your team rules....

like i have heard, if u do not hit your stunt 3 times u dont get to take your uniform home with u until the next practice to try again.....

what is your teams attendance rules?

how are they enforced?

If a girl misses anyone of our week day practices the entire team has practice at 630 in the morning that following saturday.... If a kid drops their stunt more than 2 times I hit them...:cow:

I'm sorry, but you'll have to define these words for me. I'm not familiar with them. They sound intriguing.

Attendance wise - you get 6 misses in the summer then as soon as the season starts (September) you get 1 miss per half of the year. If you go past that and it's not doctor or funeral related, you are pulled from the next competitions.

Practice wear - if you don't come to practice in your assigned practice wear, the first time you condition. After that you sit out of practice.

We're very big on personal responsibility :)

People take their uniforms to and from practice? Why...

Sadly I've come to expect rules at cheer gyms being for some but not for all. It's frustrating but as we spend more years doing this I refuse to get upset like I once used to about this.

I wish I could get to where you are. I only just got to upset so I don't know how long it will be before I can mature past it.

Because i have to admit....it's a deal breaker for me at the moment.

It's still ridiculously frustrating for me, don't get me wrong. At times I would love more than anything to have cp join an organization that would just set it's rules and to say what they mean and mean what they say. If it was something huge, it would absolutely be a deal breaker for me as well. And illegal athletes are the be-all, end-all for me. I will not tolerate it, will not keep my mouth shut about my feelings regarding the subject and will not allow cp to compete on a team knowing they could be dq'd at any given competition.

For attendance in high school you always had to do extra jumps or push ups or something it you were late and didn't have an excuse. For college, we don't have attendance rules.

If we don't hit something when we go full out (pyramid, stunt, tumbling, anything), the person/people involved have to hit ten times in a row immediately after. One small mistake, and you're back at zero.

I know back when I used to cheer if we didn't hit (or throw) any of our tumbling passes when we went full out you had to immediately do 5 of that pass afterwards without a water break.

The only rule that seems to be enforced at our gym, is that if you drop a flyer in practice and she hits the ground, then it is pushups for the entire stunt group. Wish other rules were enforced, but sadly they are not the same for everyone.
