There are a couple of ways to watch Worlds on TV via your livestream. I figured I would start a thread on here describing the easy ways and answering any technical questions anyone might have.

The way I am doing it (and recommend to everyone) is if you have an AppleTV and a newer Mac Laptop with Mountain Lion. You can mirror your screen to your AppleTV once you have the stream going on your screen and watch it with full sound on your TV! Here is the help article from Apple.

About AirPlay Mirroring in OS X Mountain Lion

You can also do this from your mobile device (aka iPhone, iPod, iPad). You can mirror to an AppleTV as well, but you are going to have to 'give up' the phone while streaming it.

Using AirPlay

You can save $25 bucks by doing it this way, but honestly I don't think it is worth the hassle if you have the Mac laptop.

If you want to do it with a PC you are most likely going to need a laptop with an HDMI out or they have wireless beaming (but it isn't as user friendly: ITC Chronicles: Wirelessly Display Windows 8 to the Big Screen ). I would recommend doing the HDMI cable. I can answer some questions on it here, but its just not as intuitive as Apple.

Ok techie question...

Is there a way to show the feed on two TVs? I have multiple iDevices and 2 apple TVs, but it sounds like one can only log in grime one device? (Wanted to be able to have both venues going simultaneously.)

Ok I thought it through better...I guess my question is how to get the se feed to play on 2 TVs (because if I can log in twice to get both venues, that would be easy to do on 2 TVs.)

In the event I can't get both venues going, I will at least want to have the feed on 2 TVs.

I don't believe there is a way to Mirror to two TV's. I also don't think you can login twice for the stream, but I could be wrong.

anyone know of a fancy way to hook your ipad up to your regular tv? wishful thinking...

Ok I have my laptop ipad and iPhone which would be the simplest to hook up to my tv? How much is a cable gonna cost me? Does the type of tv matter? Like if its older or newer? I really wanna find a way to connect my laptop or ipad (so I can use my phone throughout the day) to my big flat screen tv so I can just watch, eat popcorn, make food in the kitchen and still be able to watch :P . I think that'd be so awesome!

I have a SmartTV that's pretty new (got it over Thanksgiving) and we just took the HDMI cable that was hooked up to our Blue ray/DVD player (you could probably take it out of your cable box too) and plugged it into my mom's laptop (mine doesn't have an HDMI port...) But it played nicely with the archived videos and looked sooo cool on the big screen. The only issue was I couldn't get sound to play through, but the computer sound gets pretty loud so I'm not even gonna complain about that.

I hooked up my macbook to our TV last year using an HDMI cable and a set of speakers plugged into the headphone jack for sound. It worked great and I had no issues!

The way I'm doing it is on my iPad hooked up to my TV with an hdmi cable. Just make sure you download the Photon app so you can browse with flash player
