its still a competition against some top teams.. i think they can come up with a better prize that will still make going worth it, otherwise they're very stupid. all that to say, if there is not a paid trip to Europe, im sure they'll make the gyms invited see some kind of point in going.I almost hope the teams who gets invited say they won't go. Jamfest can't get away with breaking all of their promises like that. And without the paid trip to Europe, I honestly see no point in this competition.
I'm sure they could come up with another great prize. But even if they do, I don't think it's right for them to just get away with what they pulled. There has to be some sort of consequence and the only way that seems possible is for the teams that competed last year to not give them their business again.its still a competition against some top teams.. i think they can come up with a better prize that will still make going worth it, otherwise they're very stupid. all that to say, if there is not a paid trip to Europe, im sure they'll make the gyms invited see some kind of point in going.
i agree, and i think that because of last year they definitely wont get the same teams as last year. hopefully this year they try to overcompensate for last years error in prizing and really rebuild themselves this year with the winnersI'm sure they could come up with another great prize. Everything you said is true, but I think most people are having issues with how they handled the prizes last year. Teams would be spending a lot of extra money to attend this competition, and this year is like a game of chance. Who knows if Jamfest will actually keep their word about the prizes this year, as they did not last year.I hope the teams who receive/d invitations DO attend. Even though it was hectic with some issues..i.e waiting in line for hours upon hours for an entry ticket, that does not mean you have a place to sit...it was a first year event .. It was a really cool experience for the athletes I coach, to get to watch and enjoy. Not everyone gets the chance to see such high caliber athletes/teams performing at the same location. I wouldn't mind being individually announced in front of hundreds of people screaming and applauding for me. What an honor.
I feel like everyone is always saying worlds/varsity is all about money, if you don't support another brand(Jambrand) who is trying to make head way into this 'World Championships' competition, then do not complain about Varsity/Worlds being a rip off. *Not saying anyone is complaining, just knowledge from previous threads when Money and Worlds are brought up*
This in a way, is Jamfest's own little 'Worlds'. To me it seems that Jamfest is hoping that 'The Majors' grows a prestigious recognition among the Cheer World. And eventually become a front runner in a 'World Championship' competition.
I saw a TG athlete post that they didn't get invited. Maybe not confirmed but that's a little more than a vibe. For some reason I'm getting the "no Top Gun" vibe from some things posted on Twitter. Not saying it's the truth, could be me just reading too much into it.
