Where your youth team of 36 competes against a team of 15 because it's a small competition...
Coaches have you ran into a situation like this?! I'm not too thrilled at this point..we just got the competition order

What is it that you are not thrilled about? Is it because you feel like there will be essentially no competition for your team?

Hence why I want to make a limit of 30 on all divisions.

A team of 15 'can' put up 4 stunts. A team of 30 will probably just put up 7 stunts. 4 and 7 stunts arent worlds apart.

4 stunts and 9 stunts is like dang night and day.

A team of 15 has less to worry about, not saying were better by any means! I'm just saying competing against a team with 4 stunts when mine has 8 in one of our sections just gives us more to worry about. I guess more then anything the head coach when she chose this comp was hoping to be the only team in our division. But oh well it is what it is

No, I wasn't insinuating that at all :) When I re-read my post it seemed kind of snarky. Anyway, I know what you are saying. My daughter's team last year actually beat much larger teams because of what you are describing. Was there any particular reason why your gym decided to field a team of 36 versus dividing it up into two teams of 18 or 20? Do you tend to go to a lot of larger competitions? I wouldn't worry though TBH... sometimes teams are smaller because the gym doesn't have a lot of kids to pick from so they sort of throw the team together, KWIM? I don't know what division your team is competing in though. Either way I wish you all the best of luck. I am sure you will do fine!

They are lrg youth level 2. We are a small gym and were just trying to get all our teams on the floor before we attend our first big comp in nov! I think at the comp were going to first we will be the biggest gym with the most teams. But thank you!! & best of luck to your cps team too(:

Our owner loves large teams. We have 2 this year. There is so much you can do with choreography and transitions, etc. Sure you have more stunts that could fall, but you also have more stunts that could HIT, and 8 stunts compared to 4 stunts is a huge advantage. Good luck! We compete this weekend as well and my cp's jr4 has no other teams. I would gladly compete against a large team just to make it worth my while. :)

Yes, I believe the cut off for levels 1-4 is 32 people...right? One of our teams is large with 24ish and they said it was ok because no one can have super large teams this yr - the cut off is 32 people.
