I am not sure if this has been answered before, but I searched the boards and didn't find anything so I will go ahead and ask. Does anyone know which team was the first team EVER to compete a tick tock? And if so, what year? Thanks in advance!
I feel like we had this conversation before. And it was in the 90s.
Search for the thread that I started called "Cheer Firsts" or "who was the first" (i think something like that was the name)
Pat Wedge competed stretch to stretch tic toc and Mike Pare competed opposite arabesque to stretch at 1994 UCA college partner stunt. Very soon after, they made their way into team routines.
A couple of interesting points:
Back then the bases were given the credit for doing the difficult stunts unlike today.
Tic Tocs/fullups are very old but were not given credit in the all star world until 2007 when they became necessary to score in the highest range at NCA.
