hahahaha....yes, you already know where I stand I'll even fill out a formal recommendation
actually... maybe I'll follow up on that haha
just let me know...you know where to find me
I wish I could shimmy this 100 times. There are positives and negatives to joining a greek organization your first semester of college and to me this is a positive. You can have an open mind and enjoy all the houses without hearing, "oh, these are the cool girls" or "you don't want to be in this chapter". Don't get caught up in that stuff. This also goes along with not getting down on yourself and dropping rush when you don't get asked back to the your dream house. You'll find where you belong! Go with the chapter you feel the most relaxed and comfortable in, not the chapter where you feel on edge or feel like you have to impress everyone all the time. EVERY chapter at every campus has awesome girls and people you will get along with. You just have to experience it for yourself and meet your niche of friends! If you do go Greek, just make sure you keep an open mind about every sorority. At some schools, people let the reputation of a sorority decide which one they join, as opposed to choosing the one whose members they fit in with best. You'll have a lot more fun if you're spending time with a group of girls you enjoy!
COULDN'T AGREE MORE!! I did spring rush and only 2 chapters on my campus were not at total and participating. The chapter I thought I would rather be in happened to hold their recruitment the week after where I ended up being. I really only went to KD rush to be able to compare the following week and really wasn't too interested. The first night, when I met up with some of the sisters on council and other PNMs to walk over to the house before the rush event, I was more comfortable in a new situation than I've basically ever been ever. By the end of the second night, I didn't even consider going the following week. I think that explains it all. Best decision of the past year by far.I wish I could shimmy this 100 times. I won't be going to a university till my junior year, is it still worth it to rush then? How hard is it to balance school, cheer and being in a sorority?
Also for all you chi omegas out there I'm a triple legacy!
Yep! Grandma, mom, and aunt were all chi o's! If that's were I feel like I belong my mom has already said she will be at my initiation! But she's supporting me and only wants me to go where I feel like home! How cool! My little sister in my sorority was a triple legacy. Great grandma, grandma and mom are all Kappa Kappa Gammas. She called her grandma on bid day and she cried, haha. Also her mom and grandma were both at initiation and it was so neat.
That's how my little's family was. They supported her fully and let her make her own decisions. Her younger sister just went through rush at UNC this past year as a Kappa quadruple legacy and went ZTA. She told her mom they needed some "variety in the family" hahahaYep! My other aunt is a tri-delt but we don't have a tri-delt chapter at BGSU.

Haha yeah as much as my mom would love for me to continue on the legacy, she understands fully that everyone fits in and feels at home with their own chapters and doesn't want me to go chi o just because I feel like I have to.That's how my little's family was.
