So I decided to look at this more objectively and calculated scores for the top teams. Using a scale that included giving more points towards more recent wins, I gave the following:
pre 2010: NCA Win= 3 pts. Worlds- 1st= 3 pts, 2nd= 2 pts, 3rd= 1 pt
2010-now: NCA Win= 6 pts. Worlds- 1st= 6 pts, 2nd= 4 pts, 3rd= 2pts, essentially doubling the points. It was hard to determine what to use so for some teams I used the name and some I used the division. In order the results were:
1. Stingray Orange (small senior/med senior) = 61 points
2. Spirit of Texas Coed (limited/med coed) = 52 points
3. Cheer Athletics Large Senior (Supercats/Panthers)= 44 (if you add in Panthers 2011 and 2012 = 56 points)
4. Top Gun Large Coed (added semi limited 2011)= 43 points
5. World Cup Shooting Stars = 42 points
6. TIE Cheer Athletics Large Coed (Wildcats/Cheetahs)= 34 points
6. TIE California Allstars Large Coed = 34 points
8. Twist and Shout Coed (limited/med coed)= 32 points
9. Maryland Twisters F5 = 29 points
10. California Allstars Smoed= 28 points
11. Georgia Allstars Coed (large coed/med coed) = 27 points
12. TIE Cheer Extreme Senior Elite= 24 points
12. TIE California Allstars Lady Bullets = 24 points
14. Brandon Senior Black= 23 points
15. TIE Stingray Smoke= 18 points
15. TIE Gymtyme Coed (Black/Platinum)= 18 points
16. ACE Warriors (large coed/limited coed/semi-limited)= 17 points
17. Cheer Extreme Coed Elite= 16 points
18. Cheer Extreme SSX= 12 points
19. Tribe Chiefs= 11 points
20. Rockstar Small Coed (Rolling Stones/Beatles)= 8 points
21. Woodlands Elite Generals= 7 points
Now this is definitely not perfect, but it gives you a pretty good idea on where everyone stands.
ETA: This is just senior teams, if someone wants me to do open teams I will.
