Rihanna's yet to have a #1 album in the US, Beyonce has 4, more if you count DC days.
Beyonce has 16 Grammys, Rihanna has 5.
Rihanna has sold 25 million albums, Beyonce has sold 75 million.
Beyonce earned $58 million dollars last year only working for 5 months, Rihanna earned $48 million working all 12.
Not mentioning the fact that Beyonce is respected by almost every single artist who has ever been considered even relatively relevant in the music industry. Rihanna herself considers her the queen and her very own mentor.

Since I don't feel like looking up more information, that was just what I knew off the top of my head..
I don't know who counts the numbers, but only Madonna, Mariah, Britney, and Cher are considered "more successful" than Beyonce in terms of record sales, money made, awards earned (although Beyonce has more awards than all of them), weeks at #1, things like that. There's some governing body behind all of that that calculated it.
