All-Star Trends That Are Already Annoying

First let me say I have tons of friends that do music and make a living doing it. Can we please, please, please get back to songs? This "voiceover/rap" craze is driving me nuts. Don't people realize that these will be one of 9345723 cheer mixes that I will have to listen to on repeat either at my gym or at comps? I just want to hear/understand the words of a song! All mixes so far that have been "released" are good, but I just don't like the route that music is going.

I agree but I am less against the original voiceovers/raps and more annoyed with the constant remixing of actual songs. You start to get into a mix and then BAM... a ridiculous rewrite of the words. :confused:

I'm old and boring, I'm fully aware. I just can't understand what's going on lol.

I am so over when there is a mix of a real song that turns into all about me. Use the song... that's the best part of cheer music!

another annoying trend would be throwing around the word "amazing" in october. i just think as a board, we use that word way too often to where it loses its' meaning.

Can I get an amen! The only thing "Amazing" about our gym practices currently are some "amazing" fails. We have had some great moments, our J4 pyro is going to be insanity on a mat (note i said "going to be," its hitting, but it still needs work) Now, either we totally suck...which I don't buy....or everyone else is just a bit biased in their reporting of early routine technique. If you're truly "amazing" in your routine in October...you need to step it up, because it's not hard enough for your kids.

I argee. Everyone always has such a sense of entitlement and I'm not quite sure why.

I think the same thing about people demanding videos of other teams. It's not your team and if they choose to (or not choose to) keep their videos locked down (as much as is possible in the land of the Internet) that's their prerogative. Deal.

I agree over analyzing teams when viewing videos from the summer ... You notice it is only certain teams that get over analyzed because the other teams "give them life" and they are going to win Worlds, NCA, and Cheersport in some amazing feat of triple amazingness (I know it is not a real word) when no one has seen anything. Really who is sipping the kool aid now......

When people use the saying that something gives them life. For example, "OMG, Craptastic's music gives me life." Not sure what it is about the saying, but it seems excessive to me.
