The University of Alabama Cheerleading program also makes collegiate cheerleading history, becoming the first program in UCA College Nationals history to take home both the coed and all girl titles in the same year.

Only 0.015 points separated the All-Girl division champion, University of Alabama from runner up, Indiana University.

In the coed division, the University of Central Florida (UCF), was runner up in the competition. Third place went to former National Champion, University of Kentucky who was on a hunt for their record setting 21st title, but fell short after stunt and pyramid mishaps in their routine during finals. Always a fan favorite, UK sets themselves apart in collegiate cheerleading with their incredible difficulty and precision.

The championship for the Tide is the third for the coed champions since 2011, and the previous was earned in 1984. This is the first national title for the all-girl program.
