Every season, the USASF gives college-bound seniors the opportunity to apply for college scholarship funds, awarding the top ten at the USASF/IASF World Championships at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. The USASF is looking for exceptional athletes who are also well-rounded in academics, leadership, integrity, and excellence.
Assessed on academic record, an essay, recommendations from coaches and program directors, and a skills portion, the finalists are invited to an in-person interview the Friday before Worlds begins. Professionalism, the ability to represent oneself and the community, and a demonstrated desire to succeed are all assessed to determine the final overall winner and runner up. All finalists receive a minimum of $2500 with the runner up receiving $5000 and the winner $10,000. With all that all-star teaches young people, to be awarded the scholarship is just icing on the cake!
