I am a 9th year going to 10th year of cheerleading and I’m doing a hard routine on my knees and ankles and I have tried to do but it’s hard. Any tips I have practice on Thursday evening and we do the routine 2 or 3 times
 
If the routine is hard on your ankles and knees, I think you need to add supports for each area. I would first suggest you talk to your primary care doctor, sports medicine doctor, or athletic trainer for advice. Protecting your joints is crucial. When I was cheering and tumbling, there was no spring floor nor mats, and I'm paying the price now at age 62--I have arthritis in virtually every joint.
