That's what they said in the news story.Wait, so he was using the name illegally?
Only thing I can think of was he stopped paying his franchise fees but I have zero facts to back that statement up.

How did they not know? Seriously? It was blasted all over social media.
I'm in Coweta. Trust me, we do too.Hey now, we represent that remark. :D
Took me a few seconds to notice the GT post because I was so distracted by those shoes. Good Lord.![]()
Yeah they definitely knew,
Gymtyme (KY) retweeted GymTyme IL tweet that had the twitter name for C4 changing to GymTymeGA
It's like they were all brothers and sisters and now gymtyme KY is trying to disown them because of the bad rep they are getting from it! I wish them all the luck and hope everything gets sorted out.

Sadly I'm not surprised at all... :confused:Cheerleading gym owner accused of taking funds, improperly using franchise name | WSB-TV
I think the biggest surprise is now they are reporting he was using the "Gym Tyme" name illegally in Georgia.... I wonder what that means for his Illinois location?
THIS.Making another comment on this post because, coincidently the same thing happened yesterday at my daughter's prior gym. A year ago, they threatened to pull from a competition, but decided to attend at the last minute. So, in that time, nothing has changed? No policies were made to strengthen their financial situation? If parents aren't paying, is it because they've already paid for uniforms that have still not been delivered? One reason that I feel like this keeps happening is that parents are not allowed to comment about what is happening. Publicly or otherwise. They are not allowed to complain or voice concerns, because, if they speak up, their child will end up like mine...not cheering at all. Fortunately that leaves me in a position where I'm able to say something without threat of retribution.
This. If the fear of retaliation were absent, thing would look a lot different. One reason that I feel like this keeps happening is that parents are not allowed to comment about what is happening.
