All-Star Worlds 2013 Spectator ?

Just a thought...Why not automatically issue two family tickets per athlete for the session in which their team is participating. These could be free ("hey thank you parents for all you have done/paid to get your child here") or at a discounted or even full price (ugh!) but make them a priority type ticket of some variety. (Maybe guarantees a specific section ---only that ticket color) It's not a perfect solution. Some families may need more tickets others less...but I think it gives some acknowledgment to the kids' BIGGEST fans!

Alright. I know the whole Park Hopper and Monday tickets thing has been discussed at length, but I am trying to get my ducks in a row so I don't get all the way down there and then not get in to watch. Anyways, I am not trying to put anyone on blast, but I tried to email someone at USASF to clarify and the answers I got only made things unclear. I am attaching my conversation to see if anyone here can help clear this up or if anyone has already gone through this and figured out what the heck they mean. I guess I am wondering if the park hopper purchased through USASF is different than a regular park hopper. Here's what I sent:

I am planning on attending Worlds as a spectator, and I have a few questions that I am hoping you can help me with. If you are not the appropriate person to contact, could you please forward this email to the right person? Here are my questions:

• I will need at least a 3 day park hopper for the event or a single-day admission for each day: Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The park hopper/ticket will gain admission to the Wide World of Sports Complex and the competition venues on Satuday and Sunday. On Monday, the park hopper/ticket will only gain admission to the WWOS complex. Is this correct?
• On Monday there will be 3 sessions of finals, each of which will cost $30. Is this correct? When and where can I purchase these session tickets? I just don't see a place for them on the order form in the Spectator Packet.

And here is the reply:
Your 3 day park hopper will get you into the parks for any 3 days. Our hoppers include 5 days admission to the ESPN Wide World of Sports. One in the ESPN Center there is no other charge for the competition. You can click on Tickets Only on the website to order or printout the order form from the brochure and mail it in.

I then replied:
Could you clarify what the $30 session ticket is for Monday then? Is that if you don't purchase the Park Hopper through USASF?

The answer I received:
That is the price at the gate for the ESPN Center.

I don't know what this says about me, but when I glanced at the title I thought it said Worst 2013 Spectator and I clicked on it to get the dirt on some of the tacky people (fortunately relatively rare) we have all run into at one time or another at a comp.:oops:

Was dying to go this year, but I have alot during our cheer season. Last year was my first Worlds experience, and because I'm from Aussie its a bit if a feat travelling wise, the people are nothing short of a amazing and thats everyone from the Athletes, Coaches, Cheerlebrities (love how I gave them a different section) and the place. sure there were a few hm mm moments (honey thats just life) but I totally have the itch, hopefully next year!!

I saw somewhere online that said that if you purchase your tickets through the USASF park hopper that you have full access to all three sessions on Monday. I'm not sure how accurate or clear that is, I think they're trying to make it as confusing as possible.

I was thinking the same thing, There must be an easier way instead of emptying out the entire milkhouse.

Don't feel bad-I emailed and received similiar responses. It was almost like they didn't read my entire email. Then the person who responded told me I needed a park hopper for my 2 year old (not taking him to Worlds, nobody panic). I contacted Disney and they clarified that anyone under 3 gets in the park for free.

My main concern (going as just a spectator and arriving on Saturday) was actually physically getting the tickets. I had to email like 4 times to get an answer regarding if someone would be available for me to pick up the tickets on Saturday. The USASF discounts are great and all, but I certainly don't want to drop $1,000 on tickets that I can't get my hands on!

I'm crossing my fingers that it all works out...and that I'm not getting wrong info.

I'm so confused about everything this year. Last year I was able to get there on Friday and buy the tickets for all the days. I know Monday is in sessions, but can I just buy all the tickets for saturday, sunday, and the 3 sessions monday at one time when I get there friday?

I was told (by USASF- I called) that session tickets for Monday's finals would be sold first come first serve on Saturday. (Yeah, that should make things easier :banghead:)

Which means that if you were not planning to go on Saturday (let's say you are a parent whose cp's team goes straight to semis on Sunday) you now need to at least swing by WWOS (assuming that is where they are being sold) to try and get tickets. What a cluster.... that will be. They really need to rethink the 2 guaranteed tickets per athlete suggestion.

To me it sounds like they are going to empty the whole place out between sessions,after what happened last year, this may be their solution.
That said however, maybe they think people will only want to see a particular division and not want to see the others enough to be willing to pay for all three.
