Hi all (I warn you in advance this could be a long, rambling post)
This year is my first year competing in the partner stunt division which I am really excited about! :) My partner and I are are entering the level 3 division.
The only issue we are facing is that we are having a LOT of...
I will try to get a video tomorrow, but in the meantime, any feedback is appreciated.
Picture this: Prep level stunt
Flyer in prep, connects hand to hand with backspot (one hand)
Flyer does a front flip type of move (suspended forward roll?) and caught in a cradle.
What level is this...
Can a Level 2 team do a tick tock in a pyramid connected to a flier in a prep on one side while the extended stunt that is tick tocking have only two bases?
Yes they power press and yes on of the two bases grabs the foot before they switch.
Can someone tell me if this is legal
For high school? It would be a section of our pyramid? The side group is in a smoosh. If it's not legal, does anyone know a way to make it legal? Thanks!!
I'm a bit confused on the NCA high school open nationals guidelines for Intermediate level. It says release moves must start below prep level and be caught at prep level, but then it lists minor tic toc variations as an advanced skill which can be done. Can someone clarify? The stunt we are...
I just happened to see this video on another thread and was wondering if the stunt at 2:35 is legal for a high school team. I'm sure there would have to be an added backspot to protect the head and shoulders area but otherwise I'm not certain that it would violate any other rules. Thanks
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this stunt is legal in the USA varsity show cheer novice division??
We do a sponge/elevator toss to toetouch w/ one brace at shoulder level (in a half). In AACCA rules, it says that "A release stunt must either be cradled or connected to at least one...
At the high school pep rally today the girls were doing all collegiate stunts and pyramids. 2 1/2 level pyramids and lots of tosses with twists and inversions. It didn't look safe at all. As a parent, what do you recommend I do?
I think that a coach of a team has the right to fight getting a deduction for a move that is "illegal" at a comp, but has not been at multiple previous comps. Last year we did the same pyramid in at least 5 comps and then all of a sudden it was illegal. Why can't judging be more across the...
Would this be legal in high school according to AACCA. If not, what about if the first toss "kick out" is taken out and it's just the helicopter toss.

Hey All,
I posted about this a few years back, but the boards have grown tremendously since then and I really could use some advice.
There is a long version of this story, however, mainly my cousin has 2 little girls, ages 5 and soon to be 8. They are perfect blonde hair, blue eyed, smart...
For home games our coach wants us to do basket tosses for starting line-up. We'll have a mat to do them on. I was wondering which baskets were legal with a mat. I know you can do straight rides and toe touches, but what about fulls or kick fulls? Hitch kick fulls?
Just curious. And if so, are they legal in extension? (highly doubt this, but...)
I'm too lazy to read USASF's rule sheet. Plus i never can seem to understand what they are saying exactly....
