UK is definitely impressive and amazing, but it gets boring when it feels like you know ahead of time they will win. I like more suspense in predicting a winner. It takes part of the fun and excitement out.

I know. IMO the only way that I can see the likes of Alabama, UCF, Ohio State or even USF or Oklahoma winning is if Kentucky makes a costly mistake in its routine and for these aforementioned teams to nail a near-perfect routine. We shall see on Sunday.

I am not very familiar with UCA College Cheer. So, I looked up UK Cheer. From Wiki :

“The UK squad has won the Universal Cheerleaders Association National College Cheerleading Championship an unprecedented twenty-four times, in 1985, 1987, 1988, 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, more than any other Division 1A school. UK's squad is the only team to win back to back championships twice, once in 1987 and 1988 and again in 1995 and 1996. Further, UK is the only squad ever to win three, four, five, six, seven, and eight championships in a row. UK's eight-year streak of championships was broken in 2003 when they finished runner-up to the University of Central Florida. They regained the title in January of 2004 and won their third straight in 2006. The University of Central Florida regained the championship in 2007 when UK finished in third place. But the next year, UK came home with their 16th title. The University of Alabama broke Kentucky's win streak in 2011. But the following year, UK came home with their 19th title. In 2013, the University of Memphis defeated UK. UK's most recent victory was in 2019, marking the squads first three peat since the 2008-2010 three peat.”

UMemphis is looking good, too. We aren’t allowed to record them at the gym.

Whoo hoo! NCSU won group stunt! Loved this comp. My daughter did group stunt three years ago and I was just going back through the pics. And they did it in retired unis! Fun and retro!

I looked there but didn’t see partner or group stunt listed.

I double checked it just list teams and mascot.

On the dance side of things, 19x UDA champ UMinn didn’t make it to song/pom finals. My heart. I hate when a great team implodes under new leadership. Let us remember them at their peak. Just go to :17 seconds to have your mind blown out your butt.

Wow @ them not making it. I don't follow dance but I know enough to know they do well every year.
