Seen a few tweets now saying they should scrap two days for worlds for the divisions where everyone advances anyway since that day one hit is “a waste of time and energy”
Thoughts anyone? I like seeing them go both days regardless.
It definitely has an effect. It's pretty much been proven that the later you go in a division, the higher your chances of scoring better than if you had gone earlier.I'm glad all the Finalists compete 2 days, because flying to Florida to only do one 2:30 routine isn't great. Plus, it keeps the playing field even among the Finalists--- everyone has to compete and expend energy twice.
Even though Day 1 technically doesn't count, it's still important to do well to get a good place in the order for Day 2. I've seen instances where Day 1 performance or placement seemed to influence how that team was scored on Day 2 even though it's not really supposed to.

Pretty sure they hit!Did anyone see how PCM Fearless did today?
100%, BSB 2018 also comes to mind. Completely bombed day 1, barely made finals. Hit day 2 and got 3rd, but I think they would have placed higher if they had gone later.See: MDT Reign in 2016
