Just a little input even though it's really late. I work at The Little Gym (an international organization of gymnastic gyms for children from 4 months to 12 years) and we start putting the kids in bridges at the age of 3. At 3 they start learning handstands, cartwheels, and bridges. As well as backward rolls, forward rolls, and dive rolls (but the kids start learning them in the parent/child classes) Also on bar they learn front supports and early progressions to back hip circles and pullovers. Just saying that maybe a bhs is impressive and a little scary and along the line of dangerous, but bridges and handstands shouldn't be considered dangerous if it is written in our curriculum that is approved by the USGA. My 2¢
Actually it is not reccomended for any child under 5 to be doing bridges, due to the fact their backs are still delicate.
