See here's the thing. I don't care if she nails it. If she nails it, other people will copy and think they can nail it and die. I'm sick of Pena doing it too. I'm not going to watch. I'm boycotting her vault. Nonsupport right here.
Its like Friday's episode of Girl Meets World where Maya didn't want to watch Lucas ride the bull because she didn't want to see him get hurt even if he didn't because she cared about him.
Minus the fact that I don't care about Oksana... I care about myself and I don't want to have to see her sprawled out on the mat

She actually has a lot more control than a lot of these gymnasts attempting it. I still kinda wish she wouldn't do it but I hope she lands it if she does.
ETA: I think it's because it looks like her block travels UP instead of straight forward, giving her more time to flip. Some of them scare me shooting straight out like that.

I felt kind of pathetic when I realized I could figure out who was vaulting from a far away unzoomed video where you can't see any of their faces.
I need a life. And Gabby needs to fix her landings before she breaks herself. And Simone is queen of everything.

Oh Lord, can you imagine watching your mom perform the hardest existing female vault? What a strange and terrifying experience that would be.
She really is so impressive, to compete in 6 Olympics when most gymnasts retire before they reach age 20. Such longevity and fitness.

I watched her entire beam routine slowed down to 0.25 speed in 1080p HD quality and all I can say is, "Komova, you looks absolutely gorgeous on the beam, so PLEASE stay on it." As dancers, so many of my female friends would kill to have her leg lines, but elegant and graceful body lines can only do so much... at the end of the day, you must execute. Come on girl, I'm rooting on you!! I'm not even looking at placings anymore, I just want her to win mentally:
