Komova's just one of those gymnast where you almost never found a bad photo of her in action... there's good execution, and then there's Komova (when she hits of course). Even with her sometimes immature attitude and behaviour, people can't deny she does beautiful gymnastics; You can hate on the gymnast, but you can't hate on the gymnastics.
I will ALWAYS remember 2010 Komova... who knew the 2010 Youth Olympic Games would have been the peak of her career? Sigh.
So much for having a veteran WAG Russian team (*Gives Valentina Rodionenko the death stare*)... I genuinely thought we would see a team combination with Musatfina, Komova, Afanasyeva and Paseka. Now it just looks like it's Mustafina.

A random collection of photos of a girl I do not follow on TGLC just showed up on my twitter feed. Confused, I realized it said "Liked by Simone Biles." I've also seen her interact and send selfies back and forth to a former(?) CA Cheetah boy. When worlds collide... so strange. Sometimes I forget she's a "regular" teenager from Texas.

(*Cue season of heart breaks*) People think it's the Olympics that's most emotional, but it's usually the period right before the Olympics that's emotionally taxing.

I'm not surprised. It's sad, but I think some girls are realizing that they don't have a chance at making the team. At this point, why risk injury when they know that it won't pay off. The talent is insane, but Foberg and Key were never on my Rio list.

Saw Maggie podium training for floor and she looks solid. Thank goodness. Also saw that she may only be competing bars and beam though but she isn't "ruling out" competing all 4 apparatuses.

This is honestly better than I expected from her coming off this injury. If she can keep it up, my new Rio team is Simone, Gabby, Aly, Laurie and Maggie. I love both Madison and Ashton, but I don't see a need for them if we can send five solid all arounders (even if it all but eliminates our chance at a bars medal)

My Olympic team is
Gabby-Simmone-Aly-Laurie-Ragan
My concern is alternates. Ashton and Madison are only worthwhile as team members, not alternates.
I'm reserving judgement for Maggie until tomorrow...but if she doesn't compete all 4 events she's only worthwhile as a team member as well
