Honestly. Depending on how China looks tomorrow this is going to be a boring worlds and a boring Olympics for women's gymnastics.

It feels like the US is chilling at the top by themselves and it's lonely .

Last years worlds was low key boring for the same reason..

I wish I could not "adult" during events like this. Work gets in the way of everything. I mean cmon, Kids can teach themselves right? Ugh.

Trying to play catchup now. Caught the tail end of Russia. Saw komova stay on beam so that was nice. Watching GB now. Not a fan of their leos.

And I'm sad about Romania. That sucks to completely crash and burn at this event.

I may or may not have watched a gymnastics competition during work before...the benefits of having two computer screens, ya know?

I think China has the ability to sneak up and contend this year. I haven't seen too much of them but I've heard they've got some new, young (too young?!?!?) talent.

Now I say this and watch them eat it all over the place tomorrow. They compete at like, 4am tomorrow morning if anyone is into that.

Oh ya. I was able to do that at my old job. Now that I'm back working in a high school, not so much. Sucks.

I feel like "contend" is silver or bronze. Like they're going to "contend with all all of the countries for silver or bronze but not gold

Last year US won by like 7 points. I see it being the same this year.

I miss nail biting competition like '08 when China used bionic 12 year olds. Hopefully they grew some more of them the last 12 months and will give the US a challenge

Fortunately my sleep schedule is off this week so I may be up to watch them.

Is it being broadcast on tv or do we have to watch it online/where are you all finding it?

Peña is out of vault finals, goes to show you can't always chuck it and hope for the best... having said that, she did sort of land her Produnova during warm-ups just moments before. Unfortunately, she botched her double twisting Yurchenko as well... so there's that.

Chinese struggled with floor, just barely leading the Russian team's floor score... if they were going to make significant gains on the Russians it should have been on floor seeing as the Russians didn't do too hot either.

Sigh. Judging from the warm ups. China is going to struggle with vault.

They're so dang tiny with no power.

Wang Yan's vaults were actually... not bad though.

Oksana is most likely out of vault finals as well seeing as she's currently in 8th with U.S.A. and Hong from D.P.R. Korea yet to go. Looks like we won't be seeing any Produnovas at finals? This should be a good thing.
