While all these pics are very impressive and these kids are obviously very flexible, does anyone stop and think about the damage they could possibly be doing to their spines, joints and ligaments as they grow and get older? I would love to hear from PT's and older cheerleaders that used to be this flexible and are now either still this flexible or have developed damage from stretching so much over the years.
I don't mean any disrespect or to take away any of the impressiveness of these kids. I just would hate for them to have back issues or hip pain when they are older because of all this stretching when they were younger.
I have a question. What do you guys thinks looks better, when in a straight leg scorp if the flyer holds her ankle/shin or if she holds her foot. My arms and legs are the length where I can pull one holding my foot. But what do you guys think looks better in the air? I'm trying to perfect my "scorp needle"
my team last year UA Dynasty (j5) all did kick scorps! it looked sickkk on the floor!I think it really makes a difference how you pull your scorp. The prettiest thing I know is kick scorpion. One of my kids can do it on both legs.... So jealous.
so pretty! she's even grabbing her foot, and has her knee in the correct position too!one of my flyers on our youth team at kc cheer.hopefully next comp. i can get picture of it in the air!![]()
