All-Star Bullying, Stalking & Harassment Of Athletes Within The Cheer Community!!! Help

I can tell you that cheerupdates was involved last year with posting some false rumors about my daughter on this board and it was the same rumors that was coming from this gym. So the fact that he was in the same proximity of these parents, coaches and athletes this weekend makes me question all of their intentions!! However, the video was of my cp's team performing this weekend and you could see parents, athletes, coaches, etc. pointing to locate my daughter in the routine, calling her name and talking about what skills she was or was not doing.

Let the owner, kids, coaches, and parents know, calmly and nicely in a certified mail letter, that you will be documenting and taking screen shots of everything that is sent to or posted about your child going forward. Tell them this includes video postings including your child, text messages, emails, Tweets, FB postings, or pictures. Then let them know if it doesn't cease immediately you are willing to take whatever legal or media action necessary to protect your child. Hopefully, you and your child have not responded to any of the texts or social media that has been sent in the past, and definitely do not respond to any of it going forward.

As far as the CheerUpdates thing let's just be honest here. He is an equal opportunity routine video poster. He probably knows at least 1 person at most gyms in the country. He ask's people to video and post so he can tweet the routines because that's the kind of thing that people who follow him expect. The conversation in the video that was posted was from a group in the vicinity of the person videoing. When made aware of the situation CheerUpdates took the video down. He was totally accomodating to your request! I think the trouble with your old program could have been discussed without bringing him into it. He can't even come here to defend himself............Just my opinion!

I respect your opinion and I know you have a relationship with him. However, I am sure if he posted false rumors about your daughter based on what someone told him you would think differently. As far as I am concerned, he is a bully and I would love for him to meet my daughter's father. It wasn't your daughter that was asking why this GROWN man, who she didn't even know would do something like that. No one knows our story but us and those that witnessed what happened to her! It is only cheerleading people, geesh!!

Yes the video was taken down after a friend of mine reached out to someone at the old gym trying to find peace. There were actually two videos in which they were seeking out other former cheerleaders of the gym but they were more vocal regarding my daughter. I thought this was over when the videos were removed until my daughter text me from school this morning saying she received a text from an athlete from that gym asking if she had a problem with what was being said in the video. I just want all of them to leave my daughter alone!!

No, she is not a cheerlebrity but you would think so since people are so ANGRY at her!! I can tell you what; her role was that of CAPTAIN her last two years at this old gym if that meets the criteria!!

Having a relationship with someone has nothing to do with it. I have no problem

disagreeing with my friends if I feel they are wrong. Just to make that clear. And, my CheerUpdate post wasn't directed just for you. It was to everyone in the thread that commented. (Nothing personal is what I'm saying) I have no idea what rumor's you're referring to but I find it hard to believe that he would post something that he had not researched thoroughly beforehand. That's just not how he operates. It astonishes me that while you are asking advice on bullying etc that is happening to your daughter that you would threaten him in the same thread. I really empathize with what you are going through with your old program. I do! I hope that you will take catlady s suggestion and run with it. I think that's the best course of action for you. I wish you the best of luck taking care of this situation and that no more hurt feelings come to your daughter!!!

It is obvious you don't know me. There isn't a violent bone in my body. I would never threaten anyone and did not in this thread so I don't know where you are coming from with that comment. If you are referring to my comment about her dad then your interpretation(sp) is wrong. From what I've been told, cheer updates is a grown man so I would rather his conversations concerning my daughter be discussed with her dad instead of him bashing a child behind a computer screen!! I'm also sorry to inform you but he most certainly did post incorrect rumors concerning my daughter and the fact that he doesn't even have any association with her makes it 10 times worse!! What pleasure should a grown get out of bashing a kid?! That is a sick person in my opinion!! Thanks for the well wishes!!

As far as the video, that he did not record, it's been removed. If there is an issue with the old gym, ignore them and move on.

Lol, I tend to be more on the quiet and reserved side most of the time. Somehow, that's why I believe my family has been the easier target. Although, I can get crazy at times I am trying to be smart about this thing, haha!!

I think it is time that you are NOT quiet and voice what is happening and take some action towards stopping the harrasment.
