While you are cheering it is important to fuel your body with the best you can. I'd include all 5 food groups for the sake of keeping a well rounded diet. I'd avoid sweets and highly saturated fats. Before I practice and all throughout the school day I always drink as much water as I can to stay hydrated. After practice or working out I would suggest something full of protein and carbs to replenish the muscles. Chocolate milk is considered the new sports drink so I always drink it after practice.
