This is the movie I was referring to earlier. But it's not the most kid/teen appropriate movie in my opinion.
Definitely not. It kind of reminds me of the Rocky Horror Picture Show in a way.

I actually thought you were describing Heathers. The plot of the movie was a group of mean girls who killed the cheerleader one in the group by accident and try to cover it up...
You know what I was wrong? I meant to say 'Jaw-Breaker' with the girl (nice girl in the movie) who played on the old TV show 'Felecity and Rachel Gorman (I think), who secretly hated the girl and they actually covered up the murder and replace her with another nerdy girl remaking her over to be popular...Actually the one who got killed wasn't a cheerleader, and the one who killed her wasn't mean at all. LOL sorry Heathers is one of my faves.

PS: I love the movie Clueless...
I think that movie was called death of a cheerleader. The Texas cheerleading scandal: the fab five. This is an awesome movie by lifetime. It's usually shown on true movie Thursday.
It's based on a true story (obviously). It's an amazing movie and the actors are so good. One of them are from pretty little liars I believe. When I'm in the mood for a good cheerleading movie I always pick this first.
There's another one on lifetime called something just can't remember. But it's about girl who wants to be a cheerleader so badly but didn't make the team her freshmen year and she thought that was the only way she could be "the best" as her principle stated at the start of the year. When she didn't make the team she was willing to kill the girl who took her chance and she did. Just so she could have the spot. I can't remember every detail, but it was still a very good movie.
I loved Heathers! I will never understand what Heather #1 found so appealing about corn nuts...blegh. And Heather #2 was a cheerleader, so I guess that counts for something.Actually the one who got killed wasn't a cheerleader, and the one who killed her wasn't mean at all. @pebbles49 that trunk scene was painful to watch... I wouldn't recommend either movie for anyone under 18 haha.
But imagine their parents walking in, especially during Heathers...I just turned 18 in March, I believe I first saw Heathers in 8th grade and Jawbreaker maybe even before then.
To be honest, I do not remember Heathers and I am planning to track it down and watch it this weekend... I just remember a bunch of movies that came out at the same time and the plots were somewhat similar...I loved Heathers! I really enjoyed one of the 1st documentary that came out on the subject of competitive HS Cheerleading, Cheerleaders' Nation, I am going to check if I can purchase the DVD, excellent reality show about a competitive HS squad from Kentucky, who dominated in Large Varsity at UCA, similar to what Smoed doing...
Had to jump in on the conversation about Heathers, has anybody here seen the musical or heard the soundtrack to it? I saw it last month in New York and was absolutely blown away. I thought the movie was fabulous but this was a whole other level!Heathers is on Netflix! I just became familiar with musical too. I've fallen in love with it again!
I think there are a ton of great HS classic movies that aren't cheer related to watch!
