I have no problem understanding the hurt felt by SMOED by Jenee's departure. We now know in hindsight from the video a little more than was known initially.even though the episode doesnt explain a whole lot, clearly it was a parent decision. but it makes me question why half the team threw her under the bus when she quit and joined SE. still confused
Amen to that!!There are always 2 sides to every story. The truth is always found somewhere in the middle.
THIS completely. They are teens at the end of the day and I thought Eddie said it best in the video: they are teens, they don't understand how to handle situations like this. Teammates quit and you have no idea WHY they quit, or HOW they just leave before one of the biggest competitions of the season. And apparently she already left twice before that...it's hard to not feel betrayed when it's something sudden and unexplained like that. I just hope that since then she can rekindle her friendship with Madi and Gabi.I have no problem understanding the hurt felt by SMOED by Jenee's departure. Initially there was very little discussed about Jenee's departure. They needed to stay focused with NCA coming up soon.
I can't speak for SMOED but from what I could tell, her team felt a sense of loss with her departure. None of them had details regarding the circumstances. She quit just prior to NCA which left them in a very tough position. The, immediately following her abrupt departure a video is posted showing her flying at CEA. I don't think the SMO'S had any clue she would be cheering at CEA. The video posted only to be followed by pictures posted of her at NCA. If I was SMOED, I'd be bitter and feeling betrayed, wouldn't you ?
SMOED is a very tight knit group of athletes that deeply care about each other, about their team, and about cheer? Why? How? Why now? They had only questions and no real answers. In their mind there was no allegiance or loyalty shown to them leaving like that. She was willing to sacrifice all that they had worked so hard to achieve. The circumstances didn't look very good.
Add to that a bunch of vocal teens that feel passionately about what they do. Factor in social media and SMOED's fan base

i don't think this is a fair assumption. madi does not say "jenee has left twice before this" she says that this has happened twice before. not necessarily saying she's left twice, possibly just the circumstances have occurred twice before.THIS completely. But then she said "but it's real this time" which I took to mean "we thought she was leaving but never did, this time she really did leave"
Hmm...you are right about that, ok nevermind then disregard that pointi don't think this is a fair assumption. madi does not say "jenee has left twice before this" she says that this has happened twice before. not necessarily saying she's left twice, possibly just the circumstances have occurred twice before.
if thats true i think its extremely unfair of them to say "jenee's mom decided this wasn't the program for her".. if they would have just said the actual reason 2 months ago no one would ever care anymore and there would be 0 speculation.. :mad:As far as I understand, this was more of a coach's decision that she leave, neither her own nor her mother's. Everything is hearsay but some of the things said in this episode seem to reassure me that maybe my initial statement is true.
