I saw on twitter that the girls were being filmed by a camera crew so I'm assuming we will be getting another dose of the ladies of CJA in some way, shape, or form in the near future! Either way I'm excited!

They've been filming since or even before tryouts. It will be nice to see the team from the beginning this time around. Plus I could use some new PA-isms in my life.

Wait but isn't CJA small coed this year?

My only thought is I hope every gym isn't judged by the actions of one parent wearing their colors or were all screwed :)

I saw good and bad from nearly every gym we ran across (including our own) at some point during the season last year.

And where is this running? Is it on CMT or is this another web show?

The one nasty mom was the ring leader but all her friends sat back and let it go on with all their bags on the seats. Had I known what gym I would have emailed that gym owner to tell them exactly how this parent behaved (there was more than 1 level 5 team in there with this team name though so not 100% positive). What I could do and did was write an email to CJA and tell them how lovely their parents were. They made that day so much better for my girl.

I am 80% sure which gym that lady was with but not100% sure, so have not thought in my head "oh that gym is horrible because of that mom and her group." I think we all have our off days and certainly get stressed at comps all I can say is if any of my cheer friends EVER acted like this lady (this was more than an off day) I would have called her out then and there and I would have told the owner and coach and told her that I was going to. I think it is important to know when we are at comps we just as much represent the gym as much as the kids and coaches.

I only saw it on the web link at the top and am hoping for more have not seen any info about it going on CMT but would love it.

Yes! Just watched with my CP! Love it - CJA parents made our NCA trip last year so much better. After another gym's nasty cheer mom would not let us sit in one of her several precious saved seats even for a few minutes we asked CJA and they were so nice and chatted with us and just generally turned around a cruddy day for my CP who was so excited to be in the arena after her own performance in another hall. Good people and good program - we don't live near Jersey but if we did would certainly have my CPs there.
The funny thing is years ago (going back 10 years) CJA parents weren't so nice. They were the loud, obnoxious, section-saving-with-no-one-actually-sitting-there group at the competitions. It's refreshing to see how much they've changed. A few years ago we were at a comp with them in Baltimore and their parents had a huge dance group going in one corner (Electric Slide or Macarena), everyone was welcome to join and they were very friendly to all.

We had an incident at our last comp of the year with me and another cheer mom. My friend had moved (she had an infant) and I had assumed when she moved to sit up higher, since our kids were done, that she wasn't moving back down so it didn't even dawn on me to 'save her seats'. It was loud, the baby was fussy...yada yada.

Two people sat down from another gym, a mom and daughter combo; chatted my CP up, overall very friendly, had no issues.

My DH and youngest came back and it was time to take my CP shopping, and during the time I was gone...loud mouth parent practically yelled at them that they had stolen my friend's seat. I heard about it within a few minutes from another mom who found me and said she had to get away, but when I got back to our seats I called our gym mom out about it because I was fuming mad. It wasn't just rude, but she had on our shirt and it made our entire program look bad.

I attempted to find the woman to apologize, but never did so if you're on FierceBoards and was at the Mardi Gras Spirit Event with Spirit Elite in STL this past April and it was you, I'm sorry...she really is just a bad apple.
