My mum only went to 1 of my competiton. (parents don't really come with us to competitions) That was European championship. She said she didn't watch the routine because she was crying because she was so proud of me and my team :)

Yes, I see the dads. Laying on Cheersport blankets with earphones plugged into the iPad/Laptop catching Sunday's games, eating lunchables sipping on juice boxes! ;)

I also carry those (why wasn't this at the top?) along with the smuggled in Subway sandwich. I never apologize to CP about why here extra t-shirts smell like onions and pickles.

When it is time for all the teams in my cp's level to go, I have to stand way in the back far from people to watch because I say 'YES!!' Out loud when the other teams drop a stunt.

The best is when there is a hotel attached to the venue. Then you can hide in the bar ;) That also often helps with nerves and enthusiasm! Lol.

Lest I be known solely for my alcoholism, I will confess again. I have been known to strategically plot and plan my entrance to the VIP section for a good 10 minutes or more. Gotta be in the optimal cheer mom spaz out zone.
