I almost got physical with a security guard at a comp. I was trying to get to a bag full of water for the team when they came off the floor, and the guard wouldn't let me back to where another mom had left the bag. When I tried to explain what I needed to do, he actually pushed me. Yep. Don't push a mama. You'll end up in a whole world of crazy. Needless to say, the team got that water.

Aw heck naw!! Not. The. One.

Talk about walk of shame...
Oh yeah... all of a sudden the flight attendant came over to my friend was like your mom wanted me to give this to you because she missed the boarding call, and then handed her a piece of gym...
So she calls her mom and her mom says that she was in the bathroom and they wouldn't let get on the plane because she was minute late. But the mom's Facebook said that she missed it because she was in the bar hahah

My mom did the same! But she was a bit more detailed, and she would try to film the people we were against so I could watch them all after I got off the mat and could decide how I think we would place. Her comments about other teams (and sometimes mine) were always hilarious.
I brought highlighters and I made notes like TD SB & SF.

So I hear it's psycho to google the other teams before the competition. Guilty.

That's called recon and its legal in all 50 states. Our last coaches were very passionate and the weeks leading up to big competitions were very busy weeks for the 2 coaches and another mom and I. I can't share our super duper secret recon methods, but they were good.

Great thread. My daughter has been out of cheer for 4 years now. During her last year it became my goal to not pay an entrance fee at any competition. I would walk in with a group of people as all of them are holding up the wristbands and I would just hold up an empty wrist and walk right in. I got caught once, turned around and went in another door and a different guard never said a word. I suggest you try it, worst case you turn around and go purchase a band. Also find parents with younger kids who compete in the mornings. You can offer them 1/2 price for the wrist band as they are leaving to go home.

Don't know if he still does it since his daughter is in college, but does a certain dad still come prepared with the adult Gummi bears?

Umm, I did share my sneaky snack tips AND the cheer voodoo fingers. C'mon, we're all friends here.
