EXACTLY. Cheerleaders did not make films like Debbie Does Dallas. We did not create the hot cheerleader fantasy. We didn't create 'Hottest Cheerleader' lists.

Oh, so you (NCPs) say that our short skirts are a "tease"? Well then, you'd better say the same thing to dancers, because lots of dance costumes have skirts with briefs underneath. And they pull heel stretches just like we do. I don't see you people building entire fetishes around them.
To all of the idiot parents who claim that HS cheer is "legal softcore porn"... don't your girls play field hockey (short skirts with side slits), lacrosse (short skirts with side slits) and tennis (short skirts)? Check yourself before you wreck yourself.
Cheerleaders (the real ones, not the scantily clad pom DANCERS you see at most NFL and NBA games) don't act "sexy". Outsiders chose to fetishize us. It's so bad that there are actually people who think that we don't wear anything (no underwear, I mean NOTHING) under our skirts because they have only ever seen cheerleaders in porn. Then they freak out when their kids want to be cheerleaders. They think their sons do it to get closer to girls, and that their daughters do it to be promiscuous. Hey dummy, maybe your daughter was watching ESPN and saw UCA Nationals and THAT'S what inspired her.
These are the same people that have the gall to call cheerleaders stupid.

Exactly....ask those poor little, defenseless grandmothers that I read about in the news that have the same atrocities that happen to them, as well. It is NOT what the population WEARS.......it is how incredibly INSANE these psychos are. I was raised in New Orleans. And, thanks to my mum and her over-zealous parenting/teaching and making sure we knew how to NOT become or walk in to being a victim, we had a great childhood in such a statistic city. I have raised my kids the same way ---- watching everyone, having code-words, and just being plain smart. Educate your kids.....so many instances that I showed my kids, they never would've suspected would've been suspicious. Thank you Mum!!!

We have the half top uni, very athletic, Friday we had an event and I had to run back to my dorm for something and I kid you not some guy had his head out of the passenger side of the car trying to get my attention.

Tshirt v/s big hair problems, I had to cut a vertical slit down the front of each competition t-shirt from the neckline down 6 inches just to get it over my poof and teased curled pony, it may not have looked the best but I was covered via new rules and my hair that I spent so long teasing and curling didnt get smooshed while taking the tshirt off and on. Was my mom happy I cut all my comp tshirts nope but my hair still looked fabulous going on the floor :)

First and foremost, no woman, young lady, or adolescent is ever asking for it by what they wear. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Secondly, I have griped for years, the USASF should not worry about this. Why? It is not a safety issue. If kids were getting hurt from wearing crop tops then yes they should step in. This is a moral guideline that I find funny. What set of morals do we use? The ones that don't want girls tossing guys? The guys must be the strong main base? We are a sport with many many different types of athletes. It is not the place of the USASF to say what is nor isn't morally correct. That is a slippery slope. Let the gyms decide if they want it or not and then the parents can go or not. Maybe if we castrate enough of the perverts who prey at the venues and take pictures then we could dress in bubblewrap without fear. But no, we punish the innocent and say cover up. Another case of the victim being the problem.
