The only thing I dislike about this is the blue coming onto the U. I think if it went onto the shoulder it would look better. I do really like this though.

Haha, Yeah they wouldn't. There would be way too many people that would have a problem with it. But they are more fun to design!

Our team is considering getting new uni's for the 2013 season, and I'd LOVE to get some creative input from people to show the coaches and other team members!

We are affiliated with a university, so it's really important that the colours stay the same, and that the 'DU' for 'Deakin University' is prominant. I'd love to see what something would look like in a crop design.
Oh and we also have boys... if anyone would like to try their hand at a boys uni :)

We've typically had the 'collegiate' style (since we represent a univeristy) so I think we'd want to keep it fairly clean and athletic looking.

It would really depend on cost I think. I've always heard that subliminated are more expensive? (at least they are here in Australia), so we'd probably have to go with traditional

So Fierceboard, I'm designing our new uni's for next year and with BuegeSmalls help I've got 2 designs I'm looking at strongly. One is a mock up that Buege made on her computer. The other is a picture of one I drew up myself so you have to use a little imagination.
If you'd like to help me out, tell me which you'd prefer and what changes you might make

^ the striping on the skirt would be the same on the back
^ I'd put cheer in cursive on top of the cut out to match the "energy" on the bottom OR eliminate the cut out.

The sleeves would be half and half. The boys shows it better below.
We would add a white rhinestone star in the center of the blue star on the logo

The boys pants would be purple with a white stripe down each leg (outlined in blue turquoise mystique) and rhinestones scattered on the white.

Oh and BTW, I loved the CA wildcats uni and the CT Love uni's so they were inspiration for the above designs. I am not ashamed to copy and tweak a great style :)

cupieqt those are both gorgeous starting points!! My only thoughts are that on the primarily white one I would eliminate the cut out (cut outs + halter top = bra brigade knocking on your door!) and just put energy in cursive on the back in a straight line. On the hand drawn one the sleeves worry me a bit. Dark shoulders and white wrists make your arms pop like crazy on stage. If your kids have good motions and are tight that is great, but if the little ones get sloppy it will only be intensified. Similarly on the skirt, a dark center with white sides can make older girls look bigger or "bottom heavy" (I can't figure out how to say what I'm thinking so sorry if that doesn't make sense!!). You know your program better than anyone else, but those are just the few criticisms that popped in my head. I love the logo with the star in the center and I think your colors work really nicely on stage so no matter what y'all will look great!!
