She's pushing her daughter even though she's really hurting. I understand pushing through the pain but if it hurts too much to continue then don't push her too hard!

I agree. There is a fine line between pushing in a good way and going too far.. A few of the moms already seem to be pushing past that fine line.. :/

Everyone's making fun of the girl who did the headspring.... if anyone watched they'd know that she wasn't ready to throw it and that coach sat there and WATCHED HER potentially hurt herself instead of spotting. And the owners let him. Bad practice if you ask me...

Agreed! The owners were bullying her to "just do it". They are more to blame than the coach they trained. When she went to do her bhs there was no sit she just squatted and jumped. He had almost no time to react. Since she had bailed on her previous attempt(s) he definitely wasn't expecting her to do that. When we have kids like this that are not consistent we have both hands on them before they even start the skill. Only when they truly have it, consistently, and we know they are ready, do we let them start the skill without our hands already on them.

It's just half baked coaching and it kills me.

If this show continues, I feel it will drive kids away from their program. I mean, who wants to say that they cheer for that program now (aside from the crazies that want their TV time)? Certainly doesn't make anyone want to jump up and enroll their kid in the program either with the way it was portrayed.

We competed there (Leaps & Bounds Cheer Energy). There are some extremely good teams at this competition. No, its not worlds but no other comp is....besides Worlds.

Not bashing the comp as a whole. Some of the divisions had a good amount of teams and gyms that I know perform well. I just wasn't impressed that "winning" for them was basically all of their level 1 rec teams against one other gym.

I'm sorry but those girls didnt really expect their gym to be shown in a good manner did they? They had to have known that the producers were going to do this to their gym. Even just alittle to keep the audience. Because drama equals ratings... Even if no one really liked the show..

Well there is one right now, they are on the schedule to compete in south padre this weekend.

Understood. Live oak Rec teams are in my area. They are not true rec teams-- they are training those girls to be on Live Oak middle (they always place high at UCA Nationals) so they're very good and tough to beat. I was surprised to see they were beaten by CTR.
