Hi! I was wondering if anyone out there has any idea of how you go about finding a sponsor for a child. My daughter lives to cheer, and like I'm sure with most cheerleaders, it has helped her so much to become a better person overall. She has excelled in tumbling and flying and has gained tremendous self confidence. Unfortunatly, I recently lost my job. I have thankfully found another, but it is almost a 50% paycut. As a single mom, I'm afraid I am not going to be able to afford the sport anymore, and I know that I have heard of kids getting scholarships or private sponsers to help with the costs. I have no problem fundraising, but as a single mom who works full time, I can only do so much. Any advice or ideas are very welcome! Thanks!!

Obviously this may not be the case at all gyms, but you should really talk to the owners about the gym fees and see if there is stuff to do around the gym to help offset your costs. Whether it be cleaning or something else, you could probably do it while she is at practice and it can help at least with the monthly tuition.
Most of the people I know of contact businesses by physically going there, speaking face to face with a manager/owner, and leaving a letter explaining your needs and providing them with the tax ID number so they can deduct it from their taxes. It may take a lot of work, but most businesses will try to help a little if they can. A little here and there can add up.
Good luck!

Reach out to places like your local VFW, Moose, ect, they are often helpful with some private sponsorship. Good luck!!
