All-Star Flyer Vs Flier

I agree with the logic behind flyer for cheer, but flier for a paper.

BUT...it is "tinies", not tiny's. A plural can't have an apostrophe.

You could say, however the "tiny's uniform", because in that case you are making it possessive. But if you are referring to more than one tiny cheerleader, they are tinies, no matter how funny it might look.

personally i perfer flyer .. flier is the correct form of the word but flyer looks better but is more used with cheerleaders... its unique, like our sport:)

i find this thread very random in a fun way.. hehe lol
but i prefer flyer it just looks better to me :D

Change the Y to an I and add ER.

happy -> happier
merry -> merrier
dry -> drier (i am drier than you)

but things that break the rules would be:
gay -> gayer
play -> player
gray -> grayer

If there is a vowel before the Y, then you keep the Y and add ER

My point is that there are too many exceptions to this particular rule.

For example, and for hilarity, when making plurals you usually add "s" or "es"....so for the word TEST, make it plural both ways and you get two different words :)

i dont know about you but im a "flyer" and not a "flier" :p
