thanks for all the feedback.. allthese years I was told I had to be on sr 5 coed to fly, im on a coed but funny my bases and backer are all girls Id say with in 15 lbs of me and my backer is like 5'7 .. I hope if there are any other taller girls out there who ever wanted to fly, see this thread. not to let anyone put restrictions on your hopes " never say never" i guess :)

I weigh 137. When I partner stunt, I'm told I'm light and easy to stunt with. I'm solid muscle. My BMI has said I'm overweight, but I'm just muscle. It does not even matter your weight, just how well you push off and stay tight.
this is my life.
whenever i go to the doctor they say that im overweight. it kills me.

(Sorry didn't mean to shimmy that), that's not fair that you're told you're over weight just because it's all muscle.. :/ i have to FIGHT to stay at a "healthy" weight..

i don't like this thread. this is the exact reason girls develop problems in the first place. there is no "normal" category for flyers, there is only normal for yourself. everyone is built differently, everyone comes from a different background, etc. its not about the size. i've said it before. you may have a 4' 6" 70lbs soaking wet flyer, but if she is a noodle in the air and has absolutely zero body control, she's a goner. on the opposite end of the spectrum, you may have an absolutely GORGEOUS flyer, 5' 6", maybe 120-130 (im kinda guestimating here lol cut me some slack) and you wanna know why? because she knows how to present and hold herself in the air. body control, body control, body control. thats what its really about.
i am a smaller individual, but i prefer to see taller flyers in the air any day. those legs? STUNNING.

i am around 4'11 and weight 116 pounds. Is that too heavy to be a flyer?

Im a flyer and i am 14 years young, 5'6 and 92 pounds. I dont know if thats normal or not...im just built that way and my mom was, too.

Your coaches wouldn't put you in the air if you weren't great for it. You'll be fine. :)

I'm on a senior team and all our flyers are 10-11 year old fetuses... They even brought up a suggestion that I should back spot..lol no. I'm 5'3". I fly on our IO6 team though and I weigh 105. For HS senior night I based a basket toss with a 130lb flyer, so I'd say weight doesn't really matter.
