Is it acceptable for team reps to have cocktails while at comp?
My CP just joined a team at her first comp (Day 1) she noticed that team mom would disappear several times and appeared tipsy as the day went on. On Day 2 team rep was getting something out of backpack and CP said she had at least 2 ziplock bags filled with 5-6 mini bottles in each.
At second comp she asked my daughter to hold her cup, when she looked inside the cup there were 2 mini bottles. This really upset my CP because she’s 14 and was afraid that she would get caught with it.
Personally I think this is unacceptable. She’s supposed to be looking after the team. I am allergic to alcohol, so I don’t understand the appeal of it. Am I overreacting?
Also, at both comps the meet times were in the afternoonish from 10-1. We were done by 4 pm at both comps. And at the last comp we met at gym to warm up and she drove several athletes to the venue.
