There was a roach on my hallway wall this morning. We're unleashing nuclear RAID bombs in the kitchen so he was trying to escape..no such luck. The roach, the roach, the roach is on the wall....

Ugh. I never saw a roach until I moved south. I swear some of these Suth'n roaches are big enough to pick you up, remove you from the house and take over your domain. If I ever return to the Land of Freeze it will be because of the creepy critters here. :DThere was a roach on my hallway wall this morning. When I first moved to Texas we moved into a house that had been vacant a while. I woke up the first morning and one of those things was standing in my bedroom. Right in the middle of the floor. I swear it was staring at me like I was an intruder in his/her home. I almost called for the moving truck to take me back to Illinois. HELLO ORKIN!I just saw a Palmetto Bug thingy for the first time...roaches are yukky but these things are much crunchier when you step on them.
That's what I THOUGHT! My mother in law insisted it was not a roach....just a Palmetto. My words were Well it looks just like a roach only bigger and crunchier! Blech I get the chills just thinking about it.:help:When I first moved to Texas we moved into a house that had been vacant a while. Try living in the Palmetto State where these stupid bugs originate from. You can be on a 7th floor apartment here and you're still not safe. They are so big down here you hear them before you see them. I've had multiple instances where one has FLOWN (oh yes, some of the fly) onto my arm. I think I yelled every curse word ever invented and a couple that haven't been invented yet.The first one I saw was in Florida about 20 years ago. I was on a pay phone and this palmetto but was just staring at me. All I could think to say was "Um...I gotta go. I think this bug wants to use the phone..."
I would never step on one! I put a bowl over them until someone braver can kill it.
Then I moved to Chicago and saw silverfish. W. T. F. ????
